Dark Mediterranean

The constraint

One colour, one hour, nine distances.

Everything in the set is the same lime-washed blue at the same blue hour. The only variable allowed to move is how close the camera stands, so the sequence reads as one evening rather than a collection of renders.

Dusk view through dark foliage of a stepped blue lime-washed resort building on a forested hillside, one warm-lit doorway reflected in a narrow lap pool.
Establishing / the approach
Blue corridor of receding portals framing a candlelit lounge with white cushions, terracotta vessels and a low carved table at the far end.
Interior / the arrival
Three-by-three grid of blue-hour resort frames moving from the hillside approach and pool terrace to lit windows, a laid dinner table and a single lantern.
Curated grid / establishing to intimate
Alternate three-by-three grid of the same blue resort with sea-facing terraces, a table set against a blank wall, and a parasol standing in still water.
Superset / the frames that did not make the cut
The building is never explained, only walked toward. Warm light is rationed to one window at a time so the eye has somewhere to land in all that blue.

Structure

Establishing to intimate.

The grid is ordered as a walk, not as a portfolio. Each row moves the viewer one distance closer to a person who is never shown.

  1. Row I

    The hillside

The resort seen whole, through trees, from outside its own boundary.

  2. Row II

    The threshold

Windows and doorways, each one a lit interior read from the cold side of the wall.

  3. Row III

    The table

Dinner laid, loungers turned out, a lantern left on. Occupied, and empty.

How it is being built

Pipeline.

Built as a Runway workflow so the palette and hour stay locked while the camera distance is the only prompt that changes.

Lock

One blue, one blue hour, one material vocabulary fixed before generation.

Generate

A superset of frames at every distance, far more than the final nine.

Curate

The set cut down to a nine-frame walk that only ever moves inward.

Grade

Warm interiors protected so they survive as the single accent against the blue.
